Amanda has been training and working with dogs for over twenty years. She operates her training and behaviour consultancy “Fenland Dog Training” (www.fenlanddogtraining.co.uk) providing all aspects of dog training, and specialises in the development of puppies and educating new dog owners in all areas of dog care and training.
Amanda is passionate about correct socialisation, habituation and early training and conditioning for the prevention of behavioural problems. She operates a dog training school, which offers a range of classes form puppy to adult dogs at the Isle of Ely Veterinary Group (www.islevetgroup.co.uk).
Amanda also worked at ‘Charlie’s Dog Training Centre’ (www.charlies-dogs.com) with trainers Jo and Charlie Clarricoates. She also played an important role working with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training (www.cidbt.uk) as one of the head training instructors and course organiser for the level one, two and three in their BA Degree Programme.
Amanda is a Master Trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers, and recently become a member of The Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for Instructors in dog training and behaviour, and is working towards accreditation. And has also specialised in Hydrotherapy treatment for convalescent dogs. Amanda, in her free time volunteers for Pets as Therapy as one of the area coordinators and trainer assessors, for the East of England.
