Canine Behaviourist
Andrew is a professional dog handler and trainer with 25 years experience in both the public and private sectors.
He is a member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers, the Professional Association of Applied Canine Trainers, the Police and Canine Services Association and a chartered member of the Institute of Animal Care and Education. Andrew has handled and trained both active and passive drug detection dogs for HM Customs and Excise. He has organised and maintained continuation-training programmes for HM Customs and Excise Dog Units. He has also appeared in national newspapers and on BBC daytime television demonstrating the use of Customs drug dogs and has given talks to various organisations throughout Scotland on the use of dogs in drug detection work. He has trained in Law and worked in various Customs dog units. He has started aggression workshops for both members of the public and aspiring new dog trainers to attend and train in a safe environment.
Andrew works primarlly as a Canine Behaviour Practitioner consulting with problem dogs throughout the whole of Scotland. He provides one-to-one personal dog training for those owners who request it.
Andrew is passionate about dogs and working on their training for integration into today’s society, sounds a bit daft but he loves dogs …..
He has work with all breeds and deal with all types of behavioural and training problems. He haas experience working with individual dogs and many thousand dog owners for over 25 years and well over 1115 dogs.
