Ben Mckechnie has been a successful Canine Behaviourist and Rehabilitation Trainer for many years he owns Canine Behaviour & Training Referrals covering Sussex and Kent. He works with a variety of complex behavioural issues on Veterinary Referral. He is well known for his caring, friendly, supportive and professional service to owners who are experiencing difficulties with their dog’s behaviour. Owners can be sure to receive empathy and understanding while being given clear easy to understand expert information and advice on their dog’s behaviour.

Ben has worked in many areas surrounding the Canine industry Ben’s ambition has been to work with dogs from a very young age. Starting by working at a Veterinary Clinic to gain experience, he then went on to complete his City and Guilds in Animal Care and Management, at this time he embarked on work experience as part of his course. This lasted a long period of time at a Dog Training and Rehabilitation Centre where he then progressed on to an apprenticeship in Canine Behaviour and Training with Dean Hart CFBA where he completed accredited course in all areas of canine behaviour and training.

Ben continued his professional career by becoming a lead Tutor for the City & Guilds Accredited Canine Studies College in East Sussex. He was a key member of the teaching team that helped get the College KCAI Preferred Educational Providers status as he was assessed by The Kennel Club. Due to the high demand for his behavioural services Ben has temporary put teaching on hold but is hoping to return to it later in his career.

The behavioural clinic also takes referrals from local Dog Trainers and Behaviourist as Ben prides himself on achieving behaviour change and positive results where other behaviourist or trainers haven’t been able to. He known for providing a professional and supportive behavioural service to everybody at every level within the industry. In addition to the seminars that the Clinic holds for dog trainers he also offer additional support for local dog training clubs, rescue centres, dog groomers and specific Vets when they are faced with complex behavioural cases or need CPD training.

Ben is a Full Member of the Canine & Feline Behaviour Association and a Master Trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers.
