Jacqui has always had a passion for anything involving dogs. Growing up in a show and breeding kennels and entering her first dog show at age 6, she has helped with the training, development and welfare of dogs for well over 30 years. It has always been her first and main passion, turning this passion into both an academic and practical career as a full-time professional trainer and behaviourist, gaining her 1St Class Bsc (Hons) in Behaviour and Welfare. Her knowledge and understanding of dogs and their relationships with their human counterparts has enabled her to provide a level of support, input and service that is consistently excellent, and her ongoing personal development though CPD gives clients the assurance that they are in safe hands.

Jacqui is the Co-founder and a director at Extremus Dog Training Ltd which is based in South West Wales, working with clients from all over the UK and Europe for over 10 years in behavioural and obedience 1 2 1 sessions, dog and puppy training, board and train and more intensive residential dog training programmes, for both obedience and more complex behavioural issues. Helping clients through empathy, empowerment and trust is key to re building their relationships with their dog, through understanding behaviours from the dog’s perspective, then implementing the required changes that benefit both ends of the lead. This enables clarity of communication and a much stronger relationship though consistency, repetition and structure; leading to a well-rounded balanced dog, happy owner and even happier trainer. The greatest joy is to help facilitate this process, knowing that my advice and training has helped achieve more harmony between dog and owner.

She is also a founder and director at Dogs4Wildlife Ltd a Not-for-Profit organisation which breeds, raises and trains operational anti-poaching dogs for both human scent tracking and product of animal origin detection dogs. With over 14 operational dogs already deployed and fully supported, she is also heavily involved in both community empowerment and other wildlife conservation work across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Jacqui is a part time lecturer at her local college; Coleg Sir Gar, in Carmarthen where she instructs and teaches, both practical and theoretical lessons on canine behaviour, welfare and psychology to level 1,2 and 3 students helping them to achieve their ongoing personal goals.

Jacqui currently owns and trains a variety of differing breeds from Dutch Shepherds, Belgian Shepherds, Cocker Spaniels, Bavarian Mountain Hounds, Labradors and French Bulldogs and always remembers “that every day is a learning day” when you work with dogs.
