Jacquie Butlin
Canine Behaviourist
Jacquie operates her training and behaviour consultancy from her purposely designed consultancy centre, The Jersey Dog Training and Behaviour Company, providing all aspects of dog training and rehabilitating a wide variety of problem dogs.
Jacquie has the pleasure of sharing her home with eight happy canines of her own and often has clients’ dogs to board. She works on a one-to-one basis offering a tailor made and individual service and focuses on the behaviour and training of both owner and dog in the places that it matters most.
The methods she uses have been tried and tested with many dogs and are explained in full to the owner. The owner is then given causes and solutions to the behavioural problem, thus installing confidence to be able to deal with the issues involved in the future.
Jacquie has extensive experience with dogs that have spent time in rescue centres and has a heartfelt desire to assist dogs to adjust into their new homes. She is a Master Trainer for the Guild of Dog Trainers and has attended many professionally run courses on dog training and behaviour, including those offered by John Rogerson and Steve Mann.
She has benefited from working with Colin Tennant, Ross McCathy and Sue and Derek Williams and has also participated with the Cheshire Dog Display Team. Her practical experience has been complimented by her academic achievements. Furthermore, she is being mentored by the finest canine practitioners in the UK.
Jacquie has a 2.1 BSc Honours Degree in Canine Behaviour and Psychology and a Pet Education Training and Behaviour Council Diploma in Advanced Canine Behaviour and Psychology.
Due to the success of her canine behaviour centre, Jacquie has appeared on TV and given interviews on radio about dog behaviour.
