Pippa has always had a love for animals and has competed nationally for the under 16’s show jumping team. Her first degree was a BSc in Equine Business Management, closely followed by an MSc in Animal Behaviour & Psychology. She has wealth of practical experience with both domestic and captive animals. She has a particular interest in dogs and elephants, and is a published behaviour specialist for both these animals. Her MSc (Hons) concentrated on the structure of female elephant herds and their affiliative behaviours (not so useful in the UK!).

Pippa was Head of Education at Howletts & Port Lympne Conservation Parks, educating school groups and visitors on the current status of animal conservation and the unfortunate illegal trade of animal wildlife. She left there to follow her desire to use her knowledge of animal behaviour to help on a practical level, improving the relationship and reducing communication issues between owners and their dogs. She started up Best Behaviour School for Dogs in 2004 and is very proud to have built it into a successful company with a professional, dedicated team.

Pippa believes that you do not need to choose between tolerating undesirable behaviour or parting with your beloved pet. By addressing the balance of communication in a household and eliminating confusion, most cases are curable. She is the preferred behaviourist for 8 veterinary practices throughout Kent. She also helps to advise local councils wardens regarding dangerous dog incidences, is employed by fostering agencies to temperament assess dogs owned by prospective carers, lectures at a variety of universities on Animal Behaviour and is often the first port of call for Kent based media to discuss topical dog related issues.

Pippa believes that each dog deserves the very best and, in turn, they will repay their owner with trust, love and friendship for life.
