Sally works full time as a Canine Behaviour Practitioner and Trainer and has done so for 20 years. Creating her business ‘Dogs Understood’ in 2003, Sally has continued to study every aspect of Dog Training, Behaviour, Physiology and Nutrition and enjoys keeping up with the latest studies and research, working closely with local vets. Sally is a full member of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association.
For many years Sally has run numerous classes and taken part in many types of training, including Puppy, Junior, Obedience (Bronze/Silver and Gold) Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme, Clicker Training, Agility and Ringcraft. She’s also completed many courses and workshops, studying various aspects of owning and working with dogs – Canine Behaviour, Obedience Training, Clicker, Rally, Nutrition, First Aid, Microchipping and Herbal Remedies. Sally’s latest studies have been with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training, completing the Breed Specific Behaviour course, The Complete Canine and Advanced Common Canine Behaviour Problems.
Sally’s passion and interest in dogs has led to different opportunities, including covering the Discover Dogs stands at Crufts and Discover Dogs (London) for approximately 18 years, representing the Belgian Shepherd Tervueren with her own dogs. She’s judged local fun dog shows and provided obedience demonstrations. She’s also been a volunteer with Pets As Therapy for many years, visiting various establishments with her own P.A.T. Dogs, as well as being an Assessor for the Charity.
Sally currently offers one to one behaviour consultations in the home, various one to one training sessions, together with video and telephone consultations, her aim being to give clients the best service she can offer in order to enable them to have a complete understanding and harmonious relationship and lifestyle with their best friend.
Sally has owned multiple dogs for many years and currently has two Belgian Shepherd Tervuerens and two Shetland Sheepdogs, all of which are her absolute pride and joy.
