Having started training dogs as a hobby after a 12-year career in the Fire-Service, Trevor decided on a total career change and is working toward gaining a BA (Hons) degree with Middlesex University and the CIDBT.

Working full-time with dogs, driven by the motivation of improving the dogs and owners quality of life, welfare and relationships through education, Trevor offers all aspects of obedience and companion dog training, either on a one-to-one basis or small group courses in addition to a full range of behaviour correction work with an emphasis on teaching dogs good manners through patience and self-discipline. WildDogz now has an established and very successful training centre and behaviour clinic based conveniently in East Devon and covers all aspects of dog ownership.

Trevor takes enormous satisfaction in guiding owners to create a “Balance” in order to help their dogs adjust to a successful domestic relationship avoiding the need for the dog to be re-homed (and helping alleviate domestic disputes) and is passionate about the need to improve communication between people and their dogs.

Trevor deals with a large number of dogs taken from animal rescue centres and successfully helps both dog and new owner(s) embark on a successful and harmonious relationship spending time with both the dog and the clients, to dig deep into the dogs history in order to be able to understand and treat the cause of the problems and not just the symptoms!

Trevor has been successfully showing dogs for many years, has a pack of eight Bichon Frise taking several firsts in class at Crufts, and has written features for small local magazines, breed clubs and rescue organisations as well as speaking on dog behaviour and training at various canine related events including BBC Radio Devon.

A member of the Guild of Dog Trainers (Master Trainer), Trevor’s motto is “Taming the Wolf inside your Dog”
