Vix is one of the professional behaviour team at Best Behaviour School for Dogs and an associate member of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association.

Vix was bought up in a household of golden and flat coated retrievers which started her love affair with dogs.

Having studied at the Royal Agricultural College she spent several years working in the African travel industry travelling to Africa at least twice a year. Her favourite species obviously being the African wild dogs.

She then studied under Pippa Apps who is a full member of the CFBA as well as undertaking advanced courses with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training. Vix offers one to one behaviour counselling consultation sessions dealing with a range of issues such as excessive barking, heelwork, separation anxiety, possession guarding, dog on dog aggression and many more. She will then put together a training programme for the customer to help counter condition these unwanted behaviours and provide a full written report and continued support after the session. Vix also runs puppy and junior dog training classes as well as junior workshops, recall workshops and puppy clubs offering puppy owners that all important help with early socialisation.

Vix also enjoys gun dog training with her current working cocker Olive and hopes to get her out on the beating line in the not too distant future. She has also completed her Kennel Club Good citizen dog scheme gold award and is working towards her platinum award next.

Vix loves being able to help people enjoy their dogs and believes that our dogs lives are far too short so we need to make them the happiest and balanced they can be.
