Wendy has over 25 years experience working with dogs and cats in the Veterinary and Behavioural field. She is a full member of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association, full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, a registered Animal training instructor (ABTC) and holds among other certificates the BVNA certificate in Companion Animal Behaviour, the postgraduate Veterinary Nurse Certificate in Clinical Animal Behaviour and the Association of Pet dog Trainers Advanced Instructors Certificate.

Wendy has been on the committee for the British Veterinary Behaviour Association for several years which involves promoting gold standard Behaviour training and practice to fellow professionals and pet owners, along with helping to organise behaviour seminars and talks for fellow professionals from all over the world. She lectures to fellow professionals, students and the general public. She has published articles in the Veterinary Press. She regularly attends behaviour and training seminars to remain up to date with latest theories and research.

Wendy has always had a keen interest in behaviour and training, her passion is to educate dog owners and veterinary staff to prevent behaviour and training problems developing, also creating a positive bond with the veterinary practice. She currently holds puppy and adult dog Life Skills classes, one to one training sessions and Behaviour referral appointments at Donaldsons Vets in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Each case is reviewed as an individual, there are no quick fixes, she will aim to change your pets underlying emotional response using only positive reward based methods.
