Rebecca Tortely-Caldwell

Rebecca is a professional dog trainer and behaviourist based in Wilmslow, Cheshire. She delivers structured group classes and offers one-to-one training sessions and behavioural consultations, working with puppies, adolescent dogs, and adult dogs across a wide range of training and behavioural needs. She teaches puppy, beginner, intermediate, and reactive dog classes.

Rebecca has completed formal training in Canine Care and Behaviour and holds a Level 6 Diploma in Applied Canine Behaviour Management with the CIDBT. Her work is grounded in evidence-based, ethical, and welfare-led practice, underpinned by ongoing professional development.

She owns four dogs—two lurchers and two black Labrador retrievers—three of whom are rescues. Through living and working with dogs who have experienced behavioural challenges, Rebecca has developed substantial first-hand experience in the assessment, management, and rehabilitation of dogs with complex behavioural need.

In addition to companion dog training, Rebecca trains one of her Labradors as a working gundog and supports owners wishing to develop foundational gundog skills with their own dogs. She also has extensive experience undertaking multi-day hiking expeditions with her dogs throughout Scotland, Yorkshire and the Lake District, and provides guidance to owners seeking to prepare their dogs to be safe, reliable, and capable hiking companions, with a strong focus on risk assessment, appropriate management, and owner education.
